I am a great admirer of her writing style. In this story, especially, her style stands out. Her ability to enter her characters' psyches is amazing, and her delivery is outstanding. Her compassion and understanding for the characters leaves us feeling for them, and with them. By the end of the story, we know the characters very well, and we are living their world with them. A very elegantly executed piece of writing, indeed!Nevine Sultanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08794887684860140819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092805684169371138.post-1635389766829071562010-01-22T15:53:04.848-08:002010-01-22T15:53:04.848-08:00What a wonderful, beautifully-written story. What a wonderful, beautifully-written story.Jennifer Walkuphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15441887850464334900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092805684169371138.post-22918917437615350952010-01-22T15:05:04.191-08:002010-01-22T15:05:04.191-08:00Thank you for your wonderful comments. I have also found that it's much easier to explore those questions in fiction than in an autobiographical work. It's emotionally satisfying, and the characters come out very complex and lifelike, somehow even more realistic than when you try to write about a real person. At least, that's been my experience.Jean Michelle Miernikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08971882597502010124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092805684169371138.post-3880557203737389512010-01-22T07:36:21.647-08:002010-01-22T07:36:21.647-08:00Edie was such a vivid character in this story.
