Second off, don't forget that on December 21, we're doing our trivia/giveaway day. All day long, we'll be posting up trivia questions and giving prizes to whoever answers correctly first. I've been spending the last few days collecting some fun and silly prizes, so I hope you'll check in throughout the day!
Third off, check out Michelle's blog now. She's announcing something exciting! Okay, this isn't a deadline or an other sort of date, but check it out anyway.
Pushing to finish my story..*fingers and toes crossed*
ReplyDeleteLavanya
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
ReplyDelete:)
I've signed off on the story and all that's left is proof-reading.
I've actually worried over the details of this story more than I think I ever have before. I think mostly to its benefit.
I've reached the point, though, thanks to the deadline, where I have no choice but to call it good-enough and let it go.
Deadlines are handy for that.
Thanks for the mention, Davin! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to start collecting prizes...
Lavanya, I'll cross everything I can cross for you!
ReplyDeleteNevets, deadlines are usually good for me too, even if they make me grumpy.
Michelle, You're more than welcome. Congratulations!
Deadline met, with over eight hours to spare. Awwwwww yeaaaaaaah.
ReplyDeleteNow that's what I'm talkin' about.
ReplyDeleteAccording to my wife, who proofread and called attention to some template problems which I ignored, the story is, "Creepy."
ReplyDelete@Lavanya - I hope yours is coming along!
Nevets, I assumed your story would be creepy. I can see the madness behind your eyes. You feel like a brother to me. A mad brother.
ReplyDeleteA mad family I'm proud to be part of, Pee Domey.
ReplyDeleteYay, Nevets! Can't wait to read it. Now my story for Friday...that's creepy.
ReplyDeleteEmbrace the creepy!
ReplyDeleteOr t3h cr33p33 as the kidz say.
ReplyDeleteMy Friday story is heart-warming. People hug. There's a marching band. It's very New Yorkerish.
ReplyDeleteMy Friday story is weird, but not in a dark way. More in an un-Domey kind of way. There's far too much action and dialog.
ReplyDeleteI think mine will make people want to go eat a cookie to chase away the gloom. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI sort of expected kittens and buttercups from Scott, and I think the psychologically dark moments in Michelle's writing are just about her best...
ReplyDeleteBut I'm a little shocked to be expecting something from Domey where there's, like, stuff happening and people talking. I can't wait!
Now I'm feeling the need to revise.
ReplyDeleteCut all the dialogue and action!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to put the daffodils in mine. Nor are there kittens, but there's a good reason for that, which you'll see on Friday morning.
O.k. I'm curious and can't find the submission guidelines on this site. Would you be so kind and reprint them here? I might just get the courage to submit this time.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Yes, Scott, good point, because kittens would be cheating.
ReplyDeleteLakeviewer: Aww, I'm sorry! You already missed the original deadline for open submissions. You can find all the rules at our Anthology site. Look up in the tab bar. :)
Yes, no kittens allowed, Mr. Bailey.
ReplyDeleteWhat about profanity? Because mine has profanity.
ReplyDeleteIf kittens are out, fawns make a great alternative. Also baby seals.
ReplyDeleteBut baby seals don't deal well with profanity.
Profanity almost came up, but I decided to avoid it in the end. Aren't I a Carebear?
ReplyDeleteI tried to avoid the profanity for almost a full minute before I caved.
ReplyDeleteCare Bear, eh? What color and what tummy symbol?
ReplyDeleteWatch it, Nevets.
ReplyDeleteJust sent in my entry (with no minutes to spare..lol)
ReplyDeleteLavanya
I meant *nervous laugh* not lol..:)
ReplyDeleteLavanya
Lavanya, I was starting to worry. :)
